Susan McKuhen, President

Susan is currently working for Ventura Barnett Properties in San Jose as a realtor. Susan serves on the Citizen’s Advisory Council to the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority and the board of the SCC League of Conservation Voters. She received her AA degree from Riverside City College. Susan lives in Gilroy. (On the board since 1996).

Arlene Sagun, Secretary, non-voting

Arlene was the Managing Director for the San Jose Multicultural Artists Guild since January 2002 and the Executive Director since 2010. She has extensive experience as a program manager, supervisor, project coordinator, senior executive administrator, HR generalist and an inside sales representative from companies such as Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics, Digital Equipment Corporation, Atari, Sony and NEC. Arlene has an AA in Business Administration from San Jose City College. Arlene lives in San Jose. (On the board since1999)

Michael Cunningham, Treasurer

Engineer at Defense Contract Management Agency. (On the board since 2007) Michael lives in San Jose.

Kim Warren Martin, Member-at-Large

Global Diversity and Inclusion Manager for Intel Corporation. Kim lives in San Jose. (On the board since 2010)

Viera Whye, Member-at-Large

Artistic Director of all SJMAG’s programs. Viera holds a BA in Theatre Arts and Sociology from Towson University and a Masters degree in Theatre from San Jose State University. Viera lives in San Jose. (On the board since 1990)

Brenda Swann, Member-at-Large

Brenda is a multi-talented communications professional. Her diverse background includes human resources and training, technical writing and editing, technical publications management, and workshop facilitation. She received a B.A. degree in Sociology from Pacific University and a Technical Writing and Communications certification from San Jose State University. Brenda is the mother of four daughters and currently resides in San Jose. (On the board since 2009)

Barbara Lynn, Advisory

Barbara graduated UCSC with a degree in Community Studies. Barbara holds a bilingual teaching credential and Masters degree in teacher leadership from San Jose State University. She has taught 15 years in a Spanish Dual Immersion Program in Campbell Union School District. Barbara currently is a part-time professor at UCSC teaching Day of the Dead classes and part-time enrichment teacher at Sherman Oaks Elementary Charter School in the Campbell district. A member of CABE. (Advisory Committee since 2009). Barbara lives in San Jose.

Mark Farley, Advisory

Mark has spent his life involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a volunteer, supporter, mentor and leader. Mark was President of the Board for Jaliya, Inc. and also the Downtown San Jose Kiwanis Club. Mark has worked in Silicon Valley for over 20 years and currently is the Western Region Sales Manager for TomTom Business Solutions. (Advisory Committee since 2012) Mark lives in Los Gatos.
